Withdrawal and refunds.

Who does this apply to?

You are a consumer and you signed a Maison Owlaris quote at a distance (by email, electronic signature, phone) or off our premises (at your home, during a visit, at a trade fair): you can change your mind, without having to give a reason or pay a penalty. Businesses employing no more than five people also benefit from this for a contract signed off our premises, when the service is outside the scope of their main activity.

What is the deadline?

14 days from the day the quote is signed for a service or a hire, or from receipt for a purchase of equipment. If the period ends on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, it is extended to the next working day. You only need to send your decision before the end of the period.

How do I withdraw?

Online, using the form below: you immediately receive an acknowledgement of receipt by email;

Any clear statement of your decision to withdraw is valid.

Refund

We refund all sums paid no later than 14 days after receiving your decision, using the same means of payment as the one you used, unless you agree to another means, and at no cost. For a hire, any security deposit is returned to you within the same period.

For a contract signed at your home, the law prohibits asking you for payment before the end of a seven-day period after signing, except in the cases it provides for.

If the service has already started

We only start work before the end of the 14-day period if you expressly ask us to in writing. If you then withdraw, you only pay for the part of the service already carried out, in proportion to the total price. If the service has been fully carried out before the end of the period, at your express request and after you have acknowledged that you would then lose your right of withdrawal, you can no longer withdraw.

The law provides for other exceptions (Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code and Article VI.53 of the Belgian Code of Economic Law), in particular for urgent maintenance or repair work that you have expressly asked us to carry out at your home.

After the deadline: cancellation or postponement

Once the withdrawal period has passed, the cancellation and postponement terms set out in your quote apply. A job prevented by the weather (rain, frost, strong wind) is postponed free of charge to a new date agreed together.

Clients in Belgium and Switzerland

In Belgium, the right of withdrawal is the same: 14 days (Code of Economic Law, Book VI). In Switzerland, a contract of more than 100 francs concluded during doorstep selling or in a similar place can be revoked within 14 days, in writing (Articles 40a et seq. of the Code of Obligations).

Your information is used only to respond to your request and draw up your quote. It is never sold or used for advertising, and is deleted no later than 3 years after our last exchange. You can access, correct or delete it at any time: your data and your rights.
