Roof cleaning and maintenance

We clean your roof: we remove moss and dirt without damaging the tiles. We can then maintain it regularly.

Cleaning a slate roof on a large house

What for?

Is your roof covered in moss? It holds water, damages the tiles and blocks the gutters.

What we do

  1. 01Inspection of the roof and its weak points before work
  2. 02Moss removal and clearing of established plants
  3. 03Cleaning suited to the material, at low or medium pressure depending on the surface
  4. 04Removal of plant waste on the ground and cleaning of the surroundings
  5. 05Anti-moss or water-repellent treatment offered if the surface allows it

The exact scope is specified in the quote, after studying your property.

On which surfaces?

We adapt the cleaning to each material.

  • Clay tiles
  • Concrete tiles
  • Slate
  • Zinc
  • Steel sheeting
  • Fibre cement

How we work

The right tool for every surface.

The drone, for heights

For a roof or a façade that is hard to reach, the drone avoids scaffolding. We only use it when it is suitable and permitted.

Poles

Long poles let us reach the top of walls while staying on the ground.

Ground equipment

Cleaners, brushes and machines suited to each material, to clean without damaging.

Once or regularly

At the pace that suits you.

A visit before summer or before a reception, or maintenance all year round: you choose.

Roof cleaning

Find out more.

In Hauts-de-France, damp, sea winds from the Opal Coast and mild winters encourage moss and lichen to grow on roofs. Regular roof cleaning limits water retention, protects tiles and slates and prevents gutters from clogging.

Maison Owlaris removes moss from and cleans the roofs of houses, farmhouses, large homes and business premises, from Le Touquet to Dunkirk and from Lille to Béthune. Depending on the pitch, height and material, we work from the ground with a pole, with suitable equipment, or by drone when this method is appropriate and permitted. Cleaning can be followed by an anti-moss or water-repellent treatment.

Frequently asked questions

Your questions.

How often should a roof have its moss removed?

It depends on the orientation, the shade cast by trees and the material. We examine the roof and advise you on a suitable frequency during the visit.

Is drone cleaning suitable for every roof?

No. The drone is used when the height, access, surface and regulations allow it. Otherwise, we work from the ground, with a pole or with suitable equipment.

Can a treatment be applied after cleaning?

Yes, an anti-moss or water-repellent treatment can be offered depending on the surface. It is applied to a clean, dry roof.

Which towns do you cover for roof cleaning?

Throughout Hauts-de-France, mainly on the Opal Coast and between Le Touquet, Dunkirk, Lille and Béthune.

How does it work?

Simple, in three steps.

Maison Owlaris provides roof cleaning throughout Hauts-de-France: around Steenvoorde (Cassel, Hazebrouck, Bailleul), in Dunkirk and Bergues, on the Opal Coast (Calais, Boulogne-sur-Mer, Le Touquet), in Saint-Omer, Lille and Béthune. See the map.
