Restoration of an ipe wood deck: cleaning, de-greying and oiling

A Maison Owlaris job in Steenvoorde, Hauts-de-France.

The job

The surface, the method, the result.

Service: Wooden deck maintenance
Surface: Exotic ipe wood deck
Method: Deep cleaning, de-greying of the wood, then application of a protective wood oil
Location: Steenvoorde

This exotic ipe wood deck had gradually lost its shine under the effects of the weather, damp and organic deposits. The wood had turned grey, with greenish marks and ingrained dirt.

Maison Owlaris carried out a complete restoration of the deck: cleaning suited to the wood, removal of deposits and dirt, de-greying to bring back the natural colour of the ipe, then application of a wood oil to nourish, protect and revive the wood for the long term.

The result brings out the full character of the exotic wood: a clean, even and thoroughly revived deck that keeps its natural look.

Maison Owlaris cleans, maintains and restores wooden decks across Hauts-de-France and the Opal Coast.
